Weather this week
Monday's cold front is long gone and with only a few localized areas receiving close to half an inch, things will remain dry for the next several days. High pressure will slide southeast from the Plains today into the southeastern states by the middle of this week. With winds in the jetstream turning southwest to northeast storms will move from the southern Plains through Iowa and Minnesota. Most of the rainfall looks to bypass us to the northwest as high pressure holds strong in the southeast. The ridge will begin to break down towards the end of the weekend as the next low moves in from the Pacific Northwest. Rainfall totals could reach two and a half inches over the next 5 days from Iowa to Minnesota while the Stateline could stand only to receive half an inch.
