It was another very mild day in the Stateline, with highs reaching the mid-50s for many! The mild weather continues into the night as clouds will be in the increase. Some may see temperatures briefly drop into the 30s early on, but increasing clouds and moisture will boost most back into the 40s through the night. The low-level cloud cover will be paired with patches of drizzle and sprinkles, mainly between 9PM-4AM. A cold front will pass into the early morning Monday, but we will still warm near 50° Monday afternoon.
The next round of cold air will arrive later this week, particularly Wednesday into Thursday. High temperatures will drop to the 30s Tuesday, 20s Wednesday, then teens Thursday. Overnight lows will bottom out in the teens and single digits each of those nights. Wind chills Wednesday night into Thursday will likely be well below zero at times! While the cold will be the coldest of the season so far, it will be relatively short-lived with milder air arriving by Friday into Saturday.
While the coldest air is overhead, we will see the potential for light snow showers or flurries Wednesday and Thursday. Given the lack of moisture, any snowfall will be light in nature but could provide minor accumulations with the temperatures as cold as they will be.
