Winds yesterday weren't nearly as strong compared to Wednesday, though accompanying these winds was another blast of Arctic air.
This left afternoon highs in the upper 20s, which is well-below early-December standards and more in line with what we feel in January.
Friday is going to be another day where the winter coat will be necessary as temperatures out the door are sitting near 10°. Wind chills won't be as low as Thursday morning, though still noticeable with most locales sitting near the 0° mark. Friday afternoon features a few more clouds, leaving us under a mix of clouds and sun this afternoon. That, along with a 20-25 mph breeze out of the southwest will allow highs to peak in the low 30s. This is just the start of a significant warming trend that looks to linger into next week. Winds remain breezy out the southwest, leaving afternoon highs in the low 40s Saturday, then close to the 50° mark on Sunday. In even better news, accompanying this upward trend in temperatures will be dry conditions as our next storm system doesn't take aim at the Stateline until late Sunday night. Forecast models this morning trended lower with our chances into Monday, though I did keep a chance for isolated showers into Monday morning.
