Clouds thin out tonight, more patchy frost possible

Following some light rain showers earlier Thursday afternoon, clouds will begin to thin out overnight with another potential for some patches of frost. A few light showers may persist into the night along a remnant boundary toward the Southern parts of the area, with further clearing North.

As a result, temperatures may only drop to the upper 30s for some closer to I-88 but mid-30s seem more likely in Southern Wisconsin and far Northern Illinois. With higher confidence on more clearing and cooler morning low temperatures, another Frost Advisory will go into effect for Southern Wisconsin from 1-8AM Friday.

Friday afternoon will be characterized by a little more sunshine and warmth. Temperatures will return back to the mid-60s with another round of light showers. Highest chances will hug along the remnant boundary across Central Illinois, leaving most of the Stateline dry for the afternoon. Saturday will see temperatures reach near 70 ahead of a cold front.
