Flood Advisory Issued for the Rock River

A Flood Advisory has been issued for the Rock River at Dixon until Friday evening.  An ice jam was reported just downstream from the Dixon gauge location.  Ice jams can result in quick fluctuations in water levels without little notice.

Shortly after 6pm Monday evening the river stage was at 13.1 feet and was reported ice affected.  Action stage is 13 feet with flood stage at 16 feet.  If you live along the river remain alert for quickly changing water levels.
