A quick moving upper level disturbance Wednesday will bring light snow to parts of Wisconsin and northern Illinois early Wednesday morning. It's not expected to be much, but could impact the morning commute for some.
Southwest winds late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will bring warmer air into the Midwest just above the surface. This will provide just enough moisture in the atmosphere at the same time the upper level disturbance moves through to bring a period of light snow early Wednesday. Right now the favored area to receive the snow appears to be over southern Wisconsin and northeast Illinois. Time frame for the snow to fall looks to be between roughly 5am/6am to about 9am. Minor accumulations are possible, but are expected to remain under an inch.
