Warming Up, But Still Slippery

It's another slippery start, but we didn't have freezing drizzle like yesterday. Since temperatures yesterday didn't make it past freezing point, the ice didn't get a chance to melt. On the left are pictures of the ice on Meteorologist Ryan Belz's truck.

With that said, take it slow. Take Meteorologist Ryan Belz's word for it and trust him because he slipped. The good news: After a chilly start to 2019, we will make it into the mid-upper 30s today with a mix of sun and clouds.

Even warmer the next few days, as we will break into the 40s starting Friday. That's right... warm and above average air is coming! Beyond that, the Climate Prediction Center's 8-14 Day Temperature Outlook puts the Stateline area in the bullseye for warmer than normal conditions for January 10-18th.

The Climate Prediction Center's 8-14 Day Precipitation Outlook puts us in the chance to see wetter than normal conditions as we go into the time frame of January 10-18th.
