West winds were quick to increase Tuesday afternoon with gusts reaching over 45 mph in some locations. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for all of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin through 9pm this evening.
Temperatures Tuesday were in the low 40s but wind chills were in the 30s, and are now quickly falling back into the 20s. A secondary cold Tuesday evening will pull down an even cooler
air mass bringing overnight lows into the teens, but wind chills down close to zero degrees by Wednesday morning. Strong winds will continue through the night and during the day Wednesday, so this will keep wind chills Wednesday afternoon in the low teens.
