Gusty winds follow heavy downpours Sunday

The majority of the rain and isolated thunder that came through Sunday morning and early afternoon has come to an end, although an isolated shower or two can't be ruled out through sunset.

While the rain wasn't overly heavy area wide there were a few heavier downpours embedded within the steady showers. These produced rainfall totals near half an inch for some. For most the rain added up between 0.10 and 0.40 inches.

Southeast winds have become rather strong gusting close to 40 mph in some locations Sunday evening. Winds will continue to gust between 25-30 mph through 10pm but begin to weaken as low pressure to our northwest weakens as well. By Monday morning, winds will shift to the southwest and increase to around 25 mph.
