From multiple soaking rain chances to beautiful sun-filled skies and afternoon highs in the 60s.Wednesday is trending drier as guidance has come in a bit more south with the track of our next system.
Dry conditions are expected for the first half of the night. However, richer moisture will lifting north as low pressure slides into S. Illinois, allowing showers to more likely for areas along and east of I-39.
Highs Thursday will peak in the upper 50s, then right at the 60° mark for Friday. Friday's drier outlook does come with a rather blustery and cooler northwesterly wind. Winds Friday morning into Friday afternoon may gust up to 30-35 mph.
As we've been hinting at, a ridge of high pressure aloft and a lifting warm front will help bring temperatures up significantly over the weekend. Highs Saturday look to peak near the 70° mark, with upper 70s in the works for Sunday. In even better news, it seems that this 70° stretch is set to carry on into the first few days of next week.
