Latest analysis shows the warm front beginning to lift across northern Illinois with a few pop up showers and storms along I-39 and points east. An area of low pressure has been developing in western Wisconsin and will be the focus for additional storm development later this afternoon. Instability parameters have been rising some within the past couple of hours but one limiting factor may be the warm temperatures aloft. We'll continue to monitor things through the afternoon and if any storms do develop heavy rain along with gusty winds and hail would likely be the main threats.
