Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Whiteside, Ogle, Lee and DeKalb Co until 8:30 pm. A line of strong storms continue to move east this evening with damaging winds the primary threat.
6:00pm Update: Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been extended until 9 pm this evening. A couple of storms popping up southwest of Rockford will need to be watched. The storms currently in Iowa could affect Jo Daviess, Carroll and Whiteside Co. within the next hour.
While things are starting to quiet down somewhat this evening, another round of storms can be expected later this evening. Storms are beginning to redevelop out in Iowa and expected to move east. Looking at another round of damaging winds, heavy rain and hail. Stay tuned!
