Storms Developing this Evening
Thunderstorms took awhile to develop this afternoon and evening in the central Plains. But now that they have done so, they are already severe in many cases with severe thunderstorm and tornado watches being issued for portions of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Kansas. These storms will continue to move along a warm front that is slowly approaching the Stateline from the south. Although the severe characteristics may be somewhat diminished by the time they move through here during the wee hours of the morning, there is still a chance of winds in excess of 60mph and heavy rainfall. In the meantime, most of the WTVO viewing area is still under a moderate risk for severe weather tomorrow afternoon. We'll certainly be watching things! --TS
