Rain or No Rain?

We've got a pretty nice weather pattern setting up over this entire week with lots of sunshine and temperatures sitting in the "comfy" range.  That may be changing as we head into the weekend as the trough in the west begins to propagate east and bring return flow and warmer temperatures.  While this normally wouldn't be much of a concern, what is left of Alex could get caught up in the upper level flow which would potentially steer it closer to the Midwest...which could bring a rainy fourth of July.  I've decided to leave the forecast dry for now until we can get a better handle on 1 - the path of Alex and 2 - just how far the trough will move east.  Hopefully things will hold off at least until Monday so we can get the fireworks in.
