Thanks to Jason Hardin who sent these pictures in Friday night of the storms as they rolled through Creston, IL (one of my old stomping grounds).  This is the shelf cloud (or the leading edge of the wind) of the storm.  This is a good indicator that strong winds are about to arrive!
