Severe Weather

10:40am Update:  Storms are moving out of the area with a few showers left behind.  While we'll see a little break the rest of this morning, we'll be watching the storms currently in eastern Iowa as they move across the Mississippi River later today.

9:45am Update:  Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for southern DeKalb Co. until 10:30am.


A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Lee and DeKalb Co. until 9:45am.  Storms developing on the southern edge of a storm complex are moving to the east/northeast at around 45 mph and will likely produce strong winds.  They have had a history of blowing down power lines in Bureau County.

Large tree down just west of Cortland with numerous branches down between Cortland and DeKalb on route 38

9:51am: Thunderstorm Wind Gust one mile east of Cortland
E50mph
