Weekend Starts Rough, but Ends Well

It's been a great end to the work week with all the sunshine and temperatures reaching the mid 80°s; this is the perfect weather for Friday!  What's even better is that we hang on to the nice weather through the evening and overnight.  The evening stays warm, starting off in the low 80°s and cooling to the mid 70°s by around 9pm.  Even the overnight stays warm, with low temperatures only in the mid 60°s.  However, enjoy this evening while you can because we do have thunderstorms that'll move through the Stateline during the day tomorrow.  A cold front will approach from the west, bringing some small thunderstorms tomorrow morning starting as early as 10am.

The afternoon will be a different story, as those thunderstorms will strengthen due to a large inflow of heat to go along with the approaching cold front.  This puts us under a Marginal Risk for severe weather, with northern Wisconsin under a slight risk.  Northern Wisconsin will have larger hail and strong winds with their storms, but we can't rule out the possibility of seeing some hail ourselves.  However, the larger hail will stay mostly to the north, as we will get small to medium-sized hail.

The storms are expected to clear out between 10pm and 1am after the front moves out, with a possibility for some light rain lingering afterwards until around 4am.  Even though the weekend starts rough, we get to end it on a high note!  We'll see sunshine and temperatures in the mid 80°s on Sunday, before cooling down into the 70°s for the work week.  A high pressure system will push cooler air into our area, but it'll also help keep our skies sunny the entire week, minus a chance for some light rain during the overnight Wednesday night.
