Extreme Cold Warning issued for some tonight into Tuesday

With the core of this Arctic blast scheduled to arrive overnight into Tuesday, the National Weather Service has upgraded a few counties from a Cold Weather Advisory to an Extreme Cold Warning. 

This is for Stephenson, Jo-Daviess, and Carroll County in N. Illinois as well as Green, and Rock County up in S. Wisconsin and will be in place from 12AM to 9AM Tuesday morning. Wind chills in these areas could as dangerously low as -32, which equates to a frostbite time of 10 to 15 minutes.

Again, avoid being outdoors during this time. If that is unavoidable, remember to pack on those layers and cover all exposed skin to protect yourself. Pass this safety to your pets, loved ones, and neighbors to keep them safe from the dangerous cold.
