Wind chills have already dropped below zero for some as of 9PM Saturday evening, and those numbers along with temperatures will continue to fall overnight. Overnight lows will approach 0° while wind chills will end up near -15° or cooler tonight.

The Stateline's first ever "Cold Weather Advisory" has been issued through Sunday morning for the entire area. This new alert replaces the "Wind Chill Advisory" that would also normally be issued when wind chills approach -20° or lower. Everyone except in far NW Illinois will see this advisory last through Monday afternoon, while Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Carroll, and Whiteside counties will see the initial advisory expire at 12PM, with a new advisory likely to be issued again for Sunday night.

Wind chills will remain below zero through at least Tuesday night, with lowest chills approaching -25° to -30° especially Sunday and Monday nights. Air temperatures those nights will be below zero as well, -5° is the forecast low Sunday night while -8° is the forecast Monday night.
