Minor wind damage possible south of Rockford

Strong winds have developed behind a departing upper level and surface low pressure system south of Rockford from Rochelle to DeKalb.  Sustained winds between 35-45 mph have been gusting over 50 mph from time to time this morning and will likely continue for the next couple of hours.  The strong winds could cause small branches to come down and brief power outages.  Winds right now are from the west which would make travel on north/south roads very difficult!
