Rain & Temps This Week

Monday's rain made for a roller coaster ride in the temperature department. Plenty of rain chances over the coming week will continue to make our temperature forecast an interesting one.

Here's a look at Monday's temps. Morning rain, which topped an inch in many parts of the Stateline, kept temps in the 40s and 50s. Once we got some afternoon sun, temps rocketed into the 60s and even 70s for areas southwest of Rockford.

Unfortunately, continued rain chances this week will cause temps to slowly dip. Showers and a few thunderstorms will be likely on Tuesday and Wednesday with a decent shot at a few more showers for Thursday. A few leftover showers will be possible Friday as highs eventually dip into the 40s heading into the weekend.

All those rain chances are going to add up. Many models are suggest 2-3" of rain if everything pans out over the coming days. Keep the umbrella (and your jacket) handy this week!
