Showers and embedded thunderstorms continue to move east and northeast into Illinois this morning.  By 8am the non-severe thunderstorms should be over the majority of the Stateline and continue through Noon.  Severe weather is not anticipated but heavier downpours will be likely.

The storms this morning are forming along a warm front roughly 3,000ft in the atmosphere.  The low level jet has been fueling moisture into the southern edge of the storm cluster helping to drive them to the north and northeast.  As the cluster of storms move further into the stable air in southern Wisconsin they'll begin to weaken a little while strong storms develop along the southern edge between I-80 and I-88.
