Saturday Evening Update

10:15pm Update: A stronger line of thunderstorms extend from Sycamore southward in DeKalb County moving east around 40-45 mph.  Pea sized hail and wind gusts near 45 mph can be expected as the storms move through.

9:20pm Update:  Thunderstorms producing pea-sized hail have been reported in Whiteside County.  Thunderstorms currently extend from Freeport southward to Sterling all moving east around 40 mph.






8:10pm Update:  A few thunderstorms have developed just west of Davenport, IA and are currently moving east around 40 mph.  These storms are capable of producing small hail, but will likely remain south of the Stateline moving through southern Whiteside County.  There have been, however, a few cells that have been developing a little further north and these may move into far western Jo Daviess County within the next 45 minutes.







Showers, heavy at times, have developed across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin and will continue to move east/northeast through the next 2 hours.  The main cold front stretches from just west of Prairie Du Chien, WI down through Cedar Rapids, IA.  Right along the front there have been a few non-severe thunderstorms that have developed in eastern Iowa from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City.  These will continue to move east this evening crossing the Mississippi River around 9pm.
