After the continued isolated thunderstorms chances throughout Thursday and Friday, we will see a bit of a drier patch for the weekend. A little bit of the atmospheric moisture will slide Southward, drying things out a little bit for us here as high pressure takes over this weekend.

That high pressure also comes with a brief cool-down from the 80s and 90s as of late, below 80° for both Saturday and Sunday. We will maintain at least a slim chance for an isolated shower or storm both days, but in less coverage than Thursday or Friday. Any storms we see will be primarily early Saturday and late Sunday, but there is a realistic chance some spots could stay dry through the weekend.

Moisture will make a quick return to the region over the course of the early week. This will again bring a rise in thunderstorm chances along with the heat and humidity. This far out, it is hard to pin down exactly when storms will be at the highest coverage.

Not only will we see an increase in moisture aloft, but also in surface moisture (humidity). Dew point values will be climbing into the 60s and possibly even approaching 70° toward the early part of next week. This paired with temperatures in the mid-80s or higher will set the stage for a downright hot stretch next week.
