After a few scattered thunderstorms Sunday afternoon, we will clear out quickly tonight as temperatures drop back to the 50s. Monday will bring another round of scattered showers and a few embedded thunderstorms.

These will be possible starting mid-morning and possibly last into the evening hours, before diminishing in coverage toward sunset. Any storms we do see within the scattered showers will likely not become severe, but may be capable of producing small hail and quick downpours.

Aside from the storm potential, it will also be a notably cooler and breezier day. Temperatures will only reach back to the upper 60s or low 70s for afternoon highs. Winds could gust near 25-30 mph at times throughout the day, turning to the West Northwest by the afternoon.

After Monday's weather system moves out, we will see a much warmer and more humid pattern begin to settle in for the second half of the week. Dew point temperatures will be rising into the 60s after Wednesday, helping to promote a more active pattern as well.

Afternoon high temperatures will be reaching well into the 80s starting Wednesday. Storm chances will be on the rise starting Wednesday night and possibly lasting into the weekend. With patterns like this, it is hard to tell exact windows for highest storm potential just yet. But it will be a more active pattern with more chances for rain on the horizon starting Wednesday night.
