Snow chances today, followed by warmup to start the week

It's crazy to think, but after 80° on Friday followed by yesterday in the 50's, we're already taking about snow showers occurring less than 24 hours later. However, rain showers that have quickly transitioned to snow showers have been occurring now across the state line since about 1 a.m. this morning.
Getting a look at the radar as of 5:30 a.m. snow showers have filled in across the region with moderate snowfall being possible at times. For this morning, accumulations on roadways will be minimal however grassy areas and cars may see some accumulation by the time this snow moves out. The big concern this morning will be visibility dropping quickly, even less than a mile at some points.
As of now, snowfall accumulations look to remain highest in the north and west portions of the state line where a bit of lake enhancement from Lake Michigan may take place. Still though, on cooler surfaces we could begin to see accumulations even up to an inch in isolated portions of the state line however chances do still remain higher for areas east of I 39.
The heaviest of the snowfall will occur for the eastern portions of the state line which will occur a little later in the morning around 9 a.m. Snow showers will continue to move east throughout the morning gaining a bit of strength as they do. With drier air moving in behind though, skies will begin to clear with snow showers moving out by 11 a.m.
Luckily though, after today another warmup will occur in the beginning of the week with temperatures climbing into the upper 50s and 60s once again. As it looks now, we will be in a pretty consistent pattern of quick warmups and cools downs as low-pressure systems continue to push through the Midwest as expected during spring. Any cooldown that occurs over the next few weeks shouldn't last too long thankfully!
