After a sunny day in the Stateline with highs in the mid to upper 40s, cloud cover was on the rise quickly into the evening. This will hold temperatures steady through much of the night, only dropping to the 30s despite very dry dew points near the surface.

Cloud cover will be followed by scattered rain chance beginning toward 7/8AM Sunday morning for the first wave. These showers could bring brief periods of steady rain and gusty winds. The mid-morning could see a lull in precipitation rates. We may see strong Southwest to West winds during that precipitation lull, up to 40 mph gusts.

Sunday afternoon will bring another wave of steady showers, with possibly a rumble or two of thunder within the strongest cells. Gusty winds may accompany this round as well, with periodic gusts up to 40 mph. The evening could see additional scattered showers in much lighter form. Any rain showers will be winding down toward the evening as drier air filters in.

All told, we could see rainfall totals near 0.25" for most in the Stateline, with higher amounts to the North in Wisconsin, closer to the surface track of the low. Any areas that see embedded thunderstorms may see isolated amounts higher than 0.25".
