Mildest stretch of the year possible next week with incoming warm up

Those looking forward to spring weather, you may not have to wait much longer! A mild stretch of weather will arrive following this weekend, with a very mild air mass moving overhead early next week. This will be followed by a weather system mid-week that will eventually knock temperatures down a little bit with a slim rain chance.

Temperatures will reach the low 40s Saturday and near 50 on Sunday but rise even further after that. Multiple days next week could be in 50s or 60s! So far this year, we've only made it to 58° at the warmest on February 28th. That means more than likely we'll see our new warmest day of the year next week! Even better, this comes with dry air under the influence of the springtime ridge at least through Wednesday morning. Play the video below for how the forecast will trend between Monday and Wednesday.

Long term outlooks continue to favor temperatures above average for the middle of March. Between March 12th-16th, the highs range from the low to mid-40s while lows are in the mid-upper 20s. We may see a stretch of days continue to remain above those average marks. This could also come with above average precipitation, so more rain chances on the way for mid-March in the long term.
