With scattered rain showers pushing out of the state line early this morning, we can begin to shift our focus to some more rain showers that will be possible tonight and into tomorrow morning as well.
Throughout the day today we'll remain dry through the afternoon with even some points of partly sunny to mostly sunny skies. Winds will be mainly calm today as well, however as we move into the night our next upper-level weather system will move in bringing cloud cover, gustier winds, and a chance for some showers. As of now, precipitation chances tonight look to remain lower into the night however the chance for a shower into the early morning hours of tomorrow is still possible. Chances for rain showers do look to increase as we move into the afternoon though as a low-pressure system is expected to track to our north.Widespread rain showers will be likely into the afternoon tomorrow as a good combination of quality moisture and lift come together ahead of the low-pressure system. At times, some showers could be heavy at times but the chance for blowing rain will also be possible as wind speeds will increase through the day.By 8 am tomorrow morning, wind gusts will be approaching 30 mph and will only continue into the afternoon. At times sustained winds may be reaching near 25 mph while wind gusts could approach nearly 40 mph tomorrow, so it's not looking like the most enjoyable day to be outside tomorrow! As the low-pressure system moves east however, cooler and drier air will fill in behind it dropping temperatures and pushing rain showers east. Rain showers should move out of the state line by 7 pm tomorrow but expect cooler conditions into the night.
