Sunday was a windy day in the Stateline but Southerly winds and afternoon sunshine allowed for temperatures to climb into the 60s and 70s! It will be another windy day Monday, but the direction of the wind will dictate a cooler afternoon. Wind direction will come from the West or Northwest much of the day, with peak gusts upwards of 30-40 mph. This will keep us cooler, with afternoon highs only reaching near 60° this time around.

We will see a very slim chance for an isolated shower along a cold front early Monday morning, but the slightly higher chance for any rain will arrive in the evening. A second impulse will slide in from the Northwest, bringing the potential for a few showers beginning around 8/9PM. Scattered chances may last through the early morning hours of Tuesday, but Tuesday afternoon will be dry (though windy again).

We have two chances for isolated showers Monday, in the morning and then the evening. After that, things will dry out for Tuesday with decreasing cloud cover. But afternoon highs will only reach the low 50s and that following night will dip near freezing under a mostly clear sky. Wednesday will start the warming process again, with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the upper 50s.

The next main wave of any precipitation won't arrive until Thursday and Friday. A few waves of energy will flow our way from the Western parts of the country, bringing higher coverage of rain both Thursday and Friday. There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding exact timing of those waves, but there is a chance for some thunderstorm activity Friday, so stay tuned to the forecast!
