Air quality update: Levels more moderate across northern Illinois

Air quality levels across the Stateline are back down to level 2 of 6 "moderate" levels. There are even a few locales up in southern Wisconsin where the AQI is under 50, meaning good air quality. 

 

 

According to the model that we use to track wildfire smoke, improvements will continue to filter in over the next 24 hours. Skies remain hazy throughout the day today, though the thicker wildfire smoke should push east of the region by the time we head into the early stages of Wednesday morning.
