Feeling more like late-September early next week

Did anyone by chance turn off their A/C yesterday? I sure did and it felt great to do so.

Today will be very similar to Wednesday, just lower humidity levels for the afternoon. With a northeast wind still dominating in the low-levels, afternoon  highs will end up seasonable in the low 80s. There may be some patchy fog to start. However, we don't have as much ground-level moisture to work with as we've had the past couple of mornings.

We hold on to afternoon highs in the low 80s ahead of Saturday's strong cold front. Once this cold front is through, a dominant wind out of the northwest will help bring a taste of fall not only for Sunday, but also for a good portion of next week. That is why the A/C may take on a few cobwebs during the final days of August as this upcoming pattern will be perfect for keeping the windows open!

In fact, high temperatures early next week are what we typically see in late-September. Overnight lows will get chilly, especially Monday night and Tuesday night where we have upper 40s in the forecast. Light jacket and sweatpants weather? As far as rain and thunderstorm chances are concerned, we don't see much over the next 7 days.

Just slim chances late Friday night into Saturday as this strong cold front sweeps through.
