Some Stateline locales saw a nice soaking rainfall to round out the weekend. Officially, the total at the Rockford Airport came to 1.4".
This now puts our seasonal total up to 11.3", which is considered above average!
Now, the leftover moisture has allowed some dense fog to form, especially in areas along the Mississippi. Areas such as Galena, Savanna, and Davenport are seeing the lowest visibility. Areas east of that line are closer to unlimited visibility. Travel this morning with caution as visibility fluctuations are likely.
From there, we then put our focus on additional rain chances to begin the work week. These will be on and off, with the highest coverage arriving overnight into Tuesday. A few more showers and storms will be possible with a cold front Tuesday, though coverage will be isolated, and this will help sweep most of the moisture away for the middle of the week. So expect the forecast to dry out some for for Wednesday and
Thursday with a drop in humidity as well.
