A cold front will bring a few spotty showers tonight, followed by a seasonably cool stretch through much of next week. Ahead of that front, it was another pleasant late-August day in the with highs right around 80°. Cold front will arrive after 12AM, bringing a few spotty showers along it between 1-6AM. Any locations that see showers will only pick up around 0.1" of rain at most.

Following the frontal passage, it will be a bit breezy Saturday and Sunday. Wind gusts could push 20 mph Saturday afternoon and 25-30 mph on Sunday. With the wind coming from the Northwest, this will draw a cooler air mass in, even giving the wind a bit of a chill!

The chill comes as overnight lows may drop below 50° for the first time since early June. Afternoon highs will hug either side of the 70-degree mark, about 10° below average for this time of year. That's much closer to average for late September!

Each of those three days will feature a very isolated rain chance. With the upper-level low spinning to the Northeast across the Great Lakes, a few shallow daytime showers may be possible Sunday-Tuesday locally. Anything we see from those showers will have a hard time making it to the ground and will remain very isolated in nature, keeping many spots dry.

This cool-down also comes with a drop in humidity! It's been a while since we've seen a prolonged stretch of dew points below 50°, but that is what's on the way through much of this week!
