It's crazy to think that we are now past fair season. Which means the summer is winding down and we are inching closer to the seasonal swap.
As of this morning, we are 12 days away from the start of meteorological autumn and 33 days away from the autumn Equinox.
Why do I bring this up? Because it looks like mother nature is cooking up a little taste of fall prior to the seasonal change. Forecast models still show a rather strong cold front sweeping through the Stateline and the Great Lakes this weekend.
Behind this frontal passage, northwest winds will help a much cooler air mass will spill into the Midwest and the western Great Lakes. This will bring our highs down into the upper 70s for Saturday, then down into the low 70s for Sunday and early next week. If you loved that news, how about our overnight lows which are expected to fall into the low 50s Saturday and Sunday night, then POSSIBLY into the 40s Monday night. You may have to get your pumpkin spice beverage ahead of schedule!
