As of 4:30AM, the thickest fog resides along and south of highway 20, so down towards the Savanna, Sterling, Amboy, Rochelle, and DeKalb area. If traveling this morning, travel with extra caution as visibility will likely fluctuate.
The fog should lift around mid-morning, leaving us with a partly cloudy sky for the afternoon. With wind flow coming off of Lake Michigan, a spotty shower or two can't be completely ruled out. Afternoon highs will warm close to 80 degrees. Humidity will still be noticeable as dew point temperatures sit in the upper 60s. However, it shouldn't be to the levels that we saw this past weekend and on Monday.
Another round of patchy fog could be in the works tonight as skies will be mainly clear. Temperatures to start will be around the 60° mark, climbing near the 80° mark by the afternoon. Humidity levels will be even lower than today as dew points Thursday are expected to stay in the low 60s.
