Rain chances to remain isolated for the start of the Boone County Fair

If you didn't get a chance yesterday to enjoy this break from the high heat and humidity, today will give you another opportunity.

Stateline locales are starting off their Tuesday on a slightly warmer note with low to mid 60s.

This warmer start will pave the way for a warmer afternoon as highs reach seasonable levels. Typically in early August, Rockford's average high is around 83°. With high pressure locked over the Great Lakes, expect conditions to remain dry but hazy. Skies stay dry overnight, with overnight lows falling into the low 60s, which is also seasonable.

If you are attending the Boone County Fair, keep an eye on the radar the next few days. Coverage in terms of our rain chances will remain isolated until we reach Saturday and Sunday. Not only that, we will be seeing more of that summer-like high heat and humidity by the time the weekend rolls around. So finding a shady or A/C cooled room as well as purchasing a large cool beverage would be a great plan.
