We will remain humid Friday and Saturday with only isolated thunderstorm chances through Saturday afternoon. But Saturday evening into the overnight may bring higher coverage of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front slides through the area.

Heavy rain will be main concern with these storms, as the highest coverage likely starts after sunset Saturday evening and could last late into the night. Sunday will bring another round of scattered storms.

Saturday evening's storms may produce an isolated risk for severe weather, as the Storm Prediction Center outlook highlights the entire Stateline under a Level 1/5 Marginal Risk for severe weather. The main threats with any of these storms would be damaging winds along with the heavy rain.

Heavy rain may certainly be a concern with the storms Saturday night. There is a chance for near or over an inch of rainfall, especially across the Western parts of the Stateline. If the thunderstorms train, or flow over the same areas over and over, higher rainfall totals could be possible. There could be a localized threat for flash flooding, so be sure to keep tuned to the forecast!
