It was a very pleasant and sunny Friday in the Stateline, with temperatures in the low 70s for most! We will remain mostly clear through much of the night, though a cold front will inch closer to the area as we head toward sunrise. This front will likely pass as a dry one, but could bring a few patches of clouds with it, keeping temperatures in the mid-40s or higher for overnight lows.

The bigger impact of the front will be aiding to draw lake-cooled air our direction tomorrow afternoon and evening. This direction of a cold front is considered a "backdoor" front as it comes from the East rather than from the West as most cold fronts do. We had a very similar front pass through Wednesday. Temperatures may initially rise into the mid and upper 70s ahead of the front during the afternoon but will quickly fall to the 60s and eventually 50s behind it. The front looks to pass between 4-8PM from East to West. There is a non-zero chance for a stray shower along the front, but many if not all will remain dry.

Afternoon high temperatures will be reached between 1-4PM for most, but the front will quickly draw those numbers down by the mid to late evening. Winds may also gust near 20-25 mph along and behind the front, leading to less comfortable conditions for later in the day. Be sure to bring a jacket with if you plan to be out later into the evening!
