The day begins with a mostly cloudy sky and in some locales, area of patchy drizzle. From there, cloud cover hangs tight, leaving skies mostly cloudy for the afternoon hours. That, along with a light wind out of the northeast will limit our temperature climb, placing afternoon highs in the low 60s. It won't be until the late evening and early overnight hours where improvements in cloud cover begin to filter in, turning skies partly cloudy overnight. Temperatures end up seasonable in the mid 40s.
Tuesday is looking rather pleasant as an area of high pressure slides in behind the departing low. Expect partly sunny skies with afternoon highs ending up closer to the 70-degree mark.
Cloud cover returns Wednesday as a backdoor cold front pushes in from the north. An isolated chance for rain will accompany the frontal passage as well as a change in our winds to the northwest. Temperatures behind the front will drop 10 to 15 degrees, landing in the the 50s by Wednesday evening.
That my friends is the only rain chance we're tracking this week as a blocking pattern will be in place for much of the week and weekend. Temperatures briefly cool back into the low 60s Thursday before climbing back into the low 70s this weekend.
