Conditions overnight became conducive enough for patches of low-lying fog to form. The worst is being observed across Rock and Walworth Counties where visibility has dropped below .5 miles. If the plan to be out on the roads early, travel with caution.
Once the fog dissipates, plenty of sunshine will help temperatures quickly climb into the 70s. Should be a problem-free and pleasant day for outdoor activities, including the first Food Truck Tuesday of the year over at the Nicholas Conservatory. Ahead of our next cold front, we remain dry overnight into Wednesday with lows falling into the low 50s.
Wednesday will feature a good amount of sun as well, though a few more
clouds will drift our way as this backdoor cold front sweeps through.
Ahead of the front, we’ll still manage to reach the low 70s, though expect temperatures to fall back into the 60s prior to the evening commute. Forecast models keep the best chance for any rain with the front to our south and east, closer to the Quad Cities.
Blocking takes control once again Friday and over the weekend, steering rain chances away. With the dry weather comes a warming trend which will place afternoon highs in the low 70s Saturday and Sunday, then possibly low 80s by Monday.
