The rain early Thursday morning was steady, and at times heavy, adding up between 0.5-1.0 inches. There were also a few locations that picked up a little more than inch. The accumulating rain came to an end this morning leaving us with drizzle and mist under cloudy skies. Fog has also developed which has dropped visibility down to three miles in a few locations, despite the breeze from the west. Temperatures have remained on the cooler side with numbers in the 50s for most of the afternoon.
Cloud cover will stick around through the night as temperatures dip into the upper 40s. A couple upper-level waves (low pressure systems) will pass through the region allowing for the return of scattered showers Thursday night, then again Friday afternoon.Additional rainfall of at least a quarter of an inch can be expected. West winds will pick up Friday afternoon gusting around 20 mph. Afternoon temperatures will fall a bit below the average of 66
degrees, with a high of 63. The below average temperature trend will continue into the weekend with highs Saturday in the upper 50s and only low 60s for Sunday.
