The return of sunshine Wednesday afternoon allowed temperatures to warm into the upper 70s, to near 80 degrees, a bit warmer than highs Tuesday. Skies have remained partly cloudy as high pressure moves across the Great Lakes, holding on to a light northerly wind.
As high pressure settles overhead Wednesday night lows will fall into the mid and upper 50s, which could lead to some areas of fog through Thursday morning. Widespread fog isn't expected and shouldn't last too long past sunset.
Cloud cover, however, will be on the increase throughout the day Thursday as temperatures warm back near 80 degrees.
