The next chance for showers is scheduled to arrive late Tuesday evening and will last into Wednesday morning. Similar to Monday, the nature of tonight's rainfall will be scattered and won't even come close to taking a bit out of the rainfall deficit.
In fact, this morning's round of forecast models keep any organized chance for heavier downpours north of the Illinois/Wisconsin border, bringing totals for some southern Wisconsin locales closer to .25". Totals for those south of the border may wind up at a tenth of an inch or less. Lingering clouds and an easterly wind will prevent us from efficiently warming up, leaving highs tomorrow into the low 60s.
Afternoon highs quickly return to the 70s Thursday and Friday as winds turn warmer ahead of our next cold front. Models were a tad bit later with the timing of this frontal boundary, pushing it through sometime Saturday morning. Rain chances also return with the front's arrival, primarily for the Friday afternoon and Friday night time frame.
