A disturbance passing through overnight resulted in a scattered chance for rain. Most of which stayed north of the Illinois/Wisconsin border.
As this weak disturbance slowly exits, few lingering sprinkles and showers will be possible this morning and evening into the early afternoon.
Temperatures because of a blanket of cloud cover as well as a light east to northeast wind will land in the low 60s this afternoon. Very fall-like. We hold on to a mostly cloudy sky overnight into Thursday, with low temperatures falling into the low 50s.
Sunshine returns Thursday in a mixed fashion. That, along with a warmer wind out of the southeast will push temperatures to the 70° mark. This increase in temperatures will continue Friday as winds pick up ahead of our next cold front. This will place highs in the mid 70s to round out the work week.
