Breezy and seasonably hot weekend ahead

After a brief drop in afternoon highs Wednesday amid thicker clouds, we will see a quick rebound to afternoon highs pushing the mid-80s or higher starting Thursday. Overnight lows will reach only to the mid-50s or higher all through the weekend. The warmth will be aided by an increasing Southwesterly wind, with gusts pushing 20-30 mph Saturday and Sunday.

The unseasonable heat paired with the increasing wind and dry conditions will promote a potential brush and field fire risk. With very warm and dry weather persisting over the last few weeks, vegetation has gotten drier and drier. Be sure to avoid outdoor burning and use caution around farm equipment over the next few days, as field fires will be possible in this weather pattern.
