Light showers spread across much of the Stateline Monday morning, but only a few very isolated spots even reached a tenth of an inch of rain. Similar bouts of rain will be possible over the next several days, but no single day will bring an abundance of rainfall.
The next chance for showers will arrive late Tuesday evening and will last into Wednesday morning. Similar to Monday morning, rainfall will not amount to much and there will be lots of dry time between rounds of light showers. Dry air near the surface will work to prevent some of the rain from even reaching the ground.

Lingering low clouds will keep a few very isolated showers or sprinkles around into Wednesday morning, but most of this rain will not be measurable. The cloud cover will work to prevent much warming, as afternoon highs Wednesday may only reach the low 60s for some. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, rainfall will again fail to be abundant. Most locations will not even see a tenth of an inch of rain.

Better chances for showers will arrive toward the end of the week as another strong low pressure system will pass well to our North. The cold front will approach our region Friday night into Saturday. That will bring another round of scattered showers, likely in higher coverage than other rain chances this week.

Ahead the front, we will remain seasonably mild for much of the week. Friday will be especially mild and breezy with highs reaching the upper 70s for some. But behind it, a large pocket of cooler air will sweep over the Midwest. This will bring afternoon highs to the low/mid 60s for Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows could push the low 40s a couple nights.
