Temperatures back near average into weekend

It seems like for almost a month we were trapped in unseasonable warmth for much of September and to start October however with a cold front moving through Sunday night, much more average like temperatures are set to return. Even though we were still above average yesterday, we may see temperatures the next few days below or right near average thanks to high pressure to our northeast!

Just like the last few weeks sunshine will stick around thanks to very little atmospheric moisture being available along with the previously mentioned high pressure helping to keep us calm. Temperatures over the next three days will stay in the 60's while overnight temperatures will drop into the low 40's and even 30's at times!
At least slightly higher temperatures look likely into the weekend though combined with slightly higher precipitation chances as well. On Friday and into Saturday a compact low-pressure system will move through the upper Great Lakes region which may bring a few showers along with slightly warmer temperatures into the weekend. Even warmer temperatures look possible as we turn the corner into next week as well.
