Rain ends, sunny and fall-like moving forward

It was great to finally see some rain and even hear the sound of thunder last night. Our sole chance for rain this week came with the passage of a sharp cold front, which left some Stateline locales near or over the 1" mark as of 6AM this morning.

Rain will come to an end around sunrise, leaving us mostly cloudy prior to the midday hours. From there, an area of high pressure located to the Stateline's west will quickly dry out our atmosphere, allowing skies to clear. Though we see plenty of sun, a robust and organized breeze out of the north will leave afternoon highs in the upper 60s. This runs 14° below yesterday's high temperature of 82°, and 20° below Saturday's high of 88°.

Condition then stay dry for not only Wednesday but also Thursday and Friday. We may see a small chance for an isolated shower late Thursday night into Friday as a weak disturbance tracks through. But otherwise, the Stateline won't see an organized chance for rain again until late Sunday into Monday. During this stretch, expect a good deal of sunshine with afternoon highs in the upper 60s. Some nights, including tonight and Wednesday night, may end up on the chilly side, leaving a few locales in the upper 30s.
