Dense fog has gradually set in for areas west of I-39 and Winnebago county this morning with even freezing fog possible for some. Temperatures to the west of Rockford are a bit cooler to start down in the upper 20's for some which is making fog a bit easier to develop.

Areas where temperatures are cooler than the low 30's have a higher chance of both patchy and dense fog to develop through the 8 a.m. hour this morning. If you are heading out through the morning, make sure to take proper precautions while driving. Area's east of I-39 has a bit of cloud cover to start keeping temperatures warmer and fog chances slightly lower
Thankfully, temperatures will increase into the low 40's through the morning, and fog should gradually clear by 9-10 a.m. High temperatures this afternoon will reach into the low 50s.
